Happy Belated Vesak Day!
Heh.. just came back from an evening swim.. Was kinda irritated as the pool was so damn crowded. I really don't understand why the swimming instructors want to squeeze their students in one competition pool. Kids are just as usual blocking people's lanes. And to those instructors who are teaching the more younger ones, the training pool is built for a purpose. Some other swimmers are ignorant as well. You know that the pool is crowded, then why do you still swim backstroke? Its not like every swimmer will give way to you. And please, when you aren't swimming, don't just block other swimmer's way. Shucks, one bitten, twice shy.
Let's not talk about it anymore..
Well yesterday was Vesak Day as mentioned, and guess what.. I did volunteery work at the Vesak Day Celebration fair organized by Amitabha Centre. I was asked and persuaded by Tengyi earlier on, so went with him to help out at Aljunied. It was quite an exposure to me I must say, though my parents are Buddhists themselves. Hmm I'm still quite confused between Buddhism and Taoism though.. Yesterday I learnt more about Buddhism, of cos, from Tengyi, a Buddhist himself.. I did donated thirty bucks for prayers too.. Overall a pretty good experience afterall. Tengyi asked me to come down again next year.. haha..
After that, I rushed off to Expo for an event which I didn't know what is it about. I just knew that Jackson, one of my University course mates, is performing a cheerleading dance. So rushed that I din had time for dinner.. guess what, Joanna, Evan, my fellow course mates as well, and I did two figures and a big cheer board to support Jackson.. Damn funny I must say, especially the figures.. When I reached there, I was pretty late already, due to the fact that I slept past Tanah Merah Station.. LOL. Aye I only had four hours of sleep ok. Evan and Raymond came out to bring me in.. And the moment I went in, I was like rolling eyes.. haha.. Found out that its a church service event by City Harvest. The crowd was like damn massive.. 10K i think, most of them are youngsters. Saw pastor Kong, He Yeow Sun's husband on stage. Well besides service, there was a pleasant surprise, Tank was there! haha. But i guess nothing beats the cheerleading performances by various schools and sectors... We were like crazy cheering for Jackson.. ahaha.. In the end he said his hair was standing when he saw how supportive we are.. geez.. lOl.. I was damn hungry by then.. there was a time when I had gastric pain.. They did help me da-bao a burger.. but it turned out to be beef burger.. which I can't eat. Haha in the end I ate the buns, leaving the beef patty out. No choice.. just to stop the pain. Oh.. I saw yuan xing performing cheerleading dance as well.. hahaha.. I was surprised man.. But that confirmed one thing.. that all the performers are from City Harvest.. duh. haha.
What a day I must say, A religious day.. haha.
